Restylane Lyft vs Voluma treatments

Restylane Lyft Vs Voluma – What is the Difference?

Book now

Linda recently came into our office for a consultation. Linda is 47 years old and was starting to lose volume in her cheeks. This often happens as men and women age. The skin loses its fullness and may start to sag. We sat down with Linda to explain two procedures we do in the office to help with this problem area known as mid face augmentation.

The first procedure we recommend is using Restylane Lyft. Restylane Lyft is approved by the FDA for cheek augmentation and use in the mid face region for patients who are experiencing age-related contour deficiencies. It is a hyaluronic acid gel filler that provides lift to the cheeks and also smoothes nasolabial folds(laugh lines) in the mid face region.  This procedure is safe, requires no downtime and eliminates surgery.

Juvederm Voluma is the other procedure we recommend to patients.  Voluma is also a hyaluronic gel filler that is used to lift and fill out the cheeks when they start to sag. It is FDA approved and will last up to two years with optimal treatment. This procedure can be performed in an office setting and requires no downtime.

Restylane Lyft has a higher viscosity than voluma and mimics the patient’s own hyaluronic production to provide fullness in the cheeks. Lyft is also less expensive than Voluma and patients see results for eighteen months.  In the end, Linda chose Restylane Lyft and saw immediate results in her face. The filler added lift to the mid face region and smoothed out wrinkles in the area.
