There are a number of procedures available that can help target stubborn fat deposits that don’t respond to traditional diet and exercise. Two of the more popular are CoolSculpting and SmartLipo. But how do you decide which is right for you? We’ve got the answers.

How Much Fat Can I Lose?

CoolSculpting is ideal for targeting small to medium problem areas. SmartLipo may be a better option for dealing with larger deposits, where a CoolScultping procedure just may not be enough.

How Much Downtime Can I Expect?

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive procedure, which requires virtually no downtime. SmartLipo is considered minimally invasive, and most patients require 3-4 days of downtime before resuming normal activities.

How Fast Can I See Optimal Results?

Ideally, a CoolSculpting regimen includes a series of treatments spaced out over a series of weeks. SmartLipo typically only requires only a single treatment.

How Much Will It Cost?

Budget is a factor for many clients. It’s important to consider total cost when comparing your options. However, because each case is unique, it’s difficult to determine the costs without a thorough evaluation from your practitioners. Your specialist should provide a free consultation that explains and compares all your options with you.

The Bottom Line: Which procedure is best?

Both CoolSculpting and SmartLipo can provide great results in eliminating unwanted fat deposits, to help you achieve your ideal look. Consult with your medically trained experts at Ethos Spa Skin and Laser Center (Summit NH and Englewood NJ offices) to discuss your unique situation and determine the optimal course of treatment to meet your needs.

More on CoolSculpting

Radiesse is a dermal filler. Injected under the skin, it’s commonly used to increase facial volume, which naturally diminishes as you age. Smile lines, chin wrinkles and even pre-jowl lines can be treated. Another great use for Radiesse is to add fullness back to your cheeks. Results can last 6 months to over a year in some patients, making Radiesse both highly effective and long lasting.

Adding fillers to your cheeks can recontour the cheek lines, presenting a more youthful appearance. By reestablishing the shape of the cheek near the orbital rim helps fight of the early signs of aging and facial volume loss.

How Does Radiesse Work?

Radiesse is composed of microspheres of Calcium Hydroxylapatite suspended in a gel carrier. When injected beneath the skin, it both adds immediate volume to the treated ares, but also helps stimulate  the production of your own natural collagen. The gel and microspheres are absorbed by the body over time, leaving only the natural collagen behind.

Who Shouldn’t Get Radiesse Treatments

Radiesse (and most dermal fillers) are not for people allergic to the contents, as well as women who are pregnant. If you’ve had herpes, you may experience an outbreak after using Radiesse. As with any injectble treatment, there’s always potential for risk of infection, Always let your healthcare provider know about any treatments you are receiving. The microspheres can be seen on X-rays as well.

Introducing Accuvein Technology – Providing the Next Level of Care for Injectable Procedures

The goal of every cosmetic procedure at Ethos Spa, Skin and Laser Center is to provide the customer with the best results possible and a minimum of downtime. By utilizing the Accuvein device, our doctors can see your veins in real time, helping them define the perfect injection sites to minimize damage and skin discoloration.

When veins are affected by an injectable procedure, they very easily bruise. The Accuvein device helps your practitioner see those veins, even hidden ones and avoid them; minimizing the downtime caused by excessive bruising, as well as providing superior results.

The Accuvein device is “no touch”. It’s scanned over the treatment area, but does not touch the skin. The device fits in your hand and is extremely lightweight. There’s even a hands-free option! The device is always aligned, with accuracy to a width of less than a human hair. It can also display the imaging in reverse, to help identify those light “invisible” veins that can be tough to capture with standard illumination.

Tests have shown that the use of vein illumination tools, like Accuvein have increased customer satisfaction for Botox treatments as well as other injectable dermal fillers. We’ll gladly show you how it works, and how we’ll use it to provide you with the best possible results, next time and every time.

Schedule an appointment today and our trained medical staff will provide a FREE Consultation, and show you how we use the best tools and technology, including Accuvein, to enhance you results…. and more importantly, your patient experience.

You see a great advertisement for deep discounts on Botox treatments. How do you know if those Botox Deals are really a good deal? Remember, that with any cosmetic procedure, you’re talking about your body! While the occasional botox deals are available, don’t compromise on quality, or you may be compromising your health.

We’ve compiled a guide to some key things to consider before scheduling a botox procedure. While we do offer specials on Botox injections from time to time, Ethos Spa, Skin and Laser Center is a provider you can trust to help you look your best in a safe and relaxing environment.

What to look for the next time you’re considering Botox Deals

Know Your Practitioner

Who are you allowing to work on you?  How many procedures have they performed? Have they ever had a patient who experienced side effects? Always insist on medically trained professionals who are experienced in Botox injections, and can answer all your questions. Side effects can occur, so it’s important to understand how those situations are treated, as well as hearing all the positive testimonials.

Free Consultations

Do they offer a free pre-consultation to listen to you and your needs? Not every patient wants the same results or has appropriate expectations. Befre you accept a botox deal just on price, make sure you know what you’re getting into. A quality procedure will include a pre-consultation to make sure your expectatons are aligned with the intended results, and that the practitioner answers ALL your questions.

What’s in the Vial?

Not all Botox-style injections are the same. While there are not different “grades” of Botox Cosmetic, your practitioner could be diluting the solution below the recommended strength. Botox Cosmetic comes to us in powder form ina 100 unit vial. Recommended dilution is 2.5cc per vial, resulting in 4 units of Botox injections per .1cc.

A lesser concentration may be cheaper for your esthetician, but is not necessarily a bargain for you; resulting in a reduction in performance and results.

Where will your procedure take place?

While Botox Injections are minimally invasive, and by and large a low risk procedure, it is still a medical procedure. Ideally, you want to have a medical procedure completed in a sterile environment like a high quality clinic. Clean doesn’t have to mean drab, though. Ethos Spa, Skin and Laser Center is more like a luxurious day spa in its warm and inviting decor, but maintains the clinically sterile envionment to maximize safety.

Your mom always told you, “If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.” A little common sense goes a long way. Make sure as you decide on Botox, Juvederm, or any cosmetic procedure, that you ask the right questions and have full faith in your practitioners that you’re truly getting a good deal on great service.
