Sculptra Aesthetic® is a dermal filler used to restore fullness or volume to facial areas like the cheeks, temples and jawline. Gradually, Sculptra replaces lost collagen; over the course of three to five treatments, the appearance of fullness that has been lost over time is restored, and with it a more youthful appearance.

Here are five great reasons that you and your aesthetic provider my decide that Sculptra is the dermal filler of choice for you:

Sculptra is great for restoring volume in your saggy jawline.
Sculptra provides volumetric expansion in facial areas caused by diminishing collagen stores that make you appear older. Sculptra can be used to target facial wrinkles, facial lipoatrophy (facial wasting,) “marionette” lines, chin wrinkles, and sunken cheeks and temples.

Sculptra is a gentler alternative to fat grafting.
Sculptra is a less-invasive alternative to fat grafting or fat transfer dermabrasion that involve transferring fat from another part of your body and injecting it underneath the surface of the skin to raise sunken or depressed areas. Sculptra is a long lasting, effective alternative treatment for deep lines and sagging skin, and it doesn’t require the invasive procedures necessary to harvest fat from the body.

Sculptra is safe and offers a reduced risk of allergic reaction.
Because the main ingredient in Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid (PLA), synthesized from lactic acid already present in the human body, the risk of an allergic reaction is very slight.  Sculptra is a safe and biocompatible material—this injectable form of poly-L-lactic acid has been used for more than 30 years in absorbable sutures and other medical applications.

Sculptra stimulates collagen production.
Collagen is a natural protein contained in skin, bone, cartilage and tendons; there are 27 different types of naturally occurring collagens in the body. Collagens produced in skin tissue are essential for its strength and elasticity. Over time, your collagen stores diminish causing skin to wrinkle and sag. In an effort to fight these signs of aging, many people turn to collagen injections to replace their original supply. By stimulating new collagen growth, Sculptra works to replenish volume and reduce deep lines and sagging skin.
Sculptra can last up to 2 years!
Because Sculptra is a relatively thick substance, its volume-adding affect after three to five treatments can last up to two years, which is significantly longer than most other dermal fillers.

Coolsculpting procedure is a popular procedure by Zeltiq for non invasive fat reduction and body sculpting without surgery.  Treatment can be performed in as little as one hour but can take longer depending on the total areas treated.  This client had treatment of the lower abdomen 2 areas and the after pictures are taken after three months.

Since its FDA-approval in 2002, Botox has rapidly become one of the leading cosmetic procedures for men and women alike. As a simple, non-surgical, and minimally invasive procedure, there are several of clinics out there claiming they can expertly administer this wrinkle-zapping injection. But whom can you trust to do a great, professional job? In this article we will give you everything you need to know about Botox, so you are properly informed when you decide to have it done.

What is Botox?
Botox is a protein prepared from a bacterium called Clostridium Botulinum, which inhibits muscle activity by blocking transmission from the nerve to the muscle. This procedure has been around since the 1960’s and was FDA-approved over a decade ago for the treatment of the lines between the eyebrows, frown lines, and crow’s feet. Today, more than 4.5 million Botox procedures are administered every year. One treatment takes about ten minutes, and your results should become visible within days – with continued improvement throughout the first month.

What is it Like to Get Botox?
Botox is injected by way of a very small needle just below the skin, reducing muscle activity, and relaxing the contractions that cause wrinkles and lines. Because it is an injection, with a needle, Botox will sting initially, but the discomfort is temporary and subsides quickly. In fact, there is no downtime whatsoever with this procedure, so you can leave your appointment and continue your normal, everyday activities immediately.

Have You Done Your Homework?
Like any procedure, cosmetic or otherwise, you want to be comfortable and confident in the physician you choose. Make sure the person you choose is qualified to administer the Botox, typically a doctor or nurse. It is good practice to prepare a list of questions you have to ask your doctor at your consultation. This will help you feel more secure in your decision.

Botox Side Effects and Potential Risks
Although it is rare, some people have been known to have reactions to the Botox injectable. There have been cases of droopy eyelids, headaches, nausea and blurred vision, but this also stems from going to an inexperienced physician for the procedure. When you go in for a consultation, ask your doctor to give you the rundown on possible risks and side effects, before you agree to begin.

Life After Botox
Contrary to the myths about Botox, it will not radically alter your facial appearance, and you will still be able to make all of your facial expressions. Botox injections are not permanent; they have a life of around 3 – 6 months. However, when the injection wears off, many people report that their wrinkles do in fact, look less severe and deep than before.

Do you suffer from sagging skin around the neck, chin, and jaw line and want to find a non-evasive way to fix this issue? Ultherapy might be just the answer you are looking for to achieve that younger, tighter skin you’ve been dreaming about. In this article, you will find a little more information about this amazing and simple procedure offered by Ethos Med Spa. Ultherapy is a non-evasive, effective, and gentle alternative to a face-lift that utilizes ultrasound technology and the body’s natural healing process to lift, tighten, and smooth loose skin around the brow, neck, and jawline. Following the first treatment, your body’s natural process of producing new, more elastic, collagen builds over time as a reaction to the ultrasound. Currently, it is the only FDA-approved skin lift procedure aside from a face-lift. Ultherapy is the application of an ultrasound to a targeted facial area of your choice to stimulate the deep support layers of the skin. These stimulated areas are the same support layers addressed in a surgical facelift, without the need for a scalpel. This procedure typically lasts from 60 to 90 minutes for each session. Once the application of the ultrasound has happened, the patient is able to return to work or their normal daily activities with absolutely zero downtime. Apart from the immediate differences in the skin, patients continue to see improvements in the targeted area for the next two to three months. At Ethos Med Spa, we believe in a more natural way to get the results you want to see for your body, without the use of scalpel or weeks of downtime. Ultherapy is a great, safe, and proven alternative to the surgical facelift. Our patients love the fact that they can go back to work directly following the procedure, knowing their skin is improving as they go about their day. Also, with great financing options available, an Ultherapy session is easily accessible for everyone! If you are considering Ultherapy, or have more questions regarding the procedure, don’t hesitate to set up a free consultation with our offices.
